The consultancy company was founded in the early nineteen eighties in Eschborn/Frankfurt am Main. Dipl. Kaufmann (Business Studies Graduate) Hans-Joachim Basten has been the sole partner and managing director of Basten GmbH since 2009. Dr. Sebastian Basten has been the head of the consultancy team for international clients since 2013.
